This course is a Virginia-specific course that prepares nurses to train CNA’s. This 12 hour course prepares nurses in to do the following:
- Understand and meet the federal requirements for training CNA’s
- Understand and meet the state requirements for training CNA’s
- Understand principles of adult learning
- Use creativity for student learning
- Prepares your program for annual inspection by the state
- Increase your student state exam pass rates
- Write lesson plans and curriculums
- Learn about engaging resources you can use to teach your students
Please note that only 8 of the 12 hours are eligible for continuing education hours.
